Have you ever been to one of your rugby tournaments and you just want to win all your games? Well if you are that person I’m that awesome person too. I hate losing games even though it’s soccer, netball or whatever sports I participate in. I really hate losing , and if you are still that person keep reading along to see how my journey went with my rugby tournament in the first week of the first day in the school holidays. So I joined the East Girls Rugby team to represent eastside- Yah I’m a Eastsider. So we have training two times a week for about 3 months, then finally the week came up for our tournament. This tournament is challenging girls that are from the Central (the middle), West ( Wild Wild West), and South ( Hard Hard South) of Auckland for a week. All players are under 13 years old. I was really looking forward to it because its my first time playing for this team and it’s good to experience new things in somewhere extremely new. The night before our first game I was daydreaming, seeing myself scoring a lot of tries and doing the peerrfectt tackle. Then I said to myself - Yeah I’m gonna go tomorrow and smash them, injure them, and most of all win.
I slept early made myself comfortable and I slept through the night. I woke up really early like 7
am to get ready- (that may not be early but that's early to me). I got up did some chores (cause
every time i do something my mum expects me to do some chores before i go) and by the way I
went for a shower and wore our tracksuit and off we went to drop me off -( wait before we left I
had breakfast- you might be thinking that i don't have breakfast before I go for a big game) so
off we went. I was really excited and really scared of what they might look like, they might be
too big for me to tackle ( I’m not been rude) and at the same time I was thinking of what I was
daydreaming yesterday, -( if you can't remember what i was daydreaming about go back and
look).

My sister parked the car, and I got out and went looking for someone that I knew in my team. Then I spotted one player, I ran to her. Giving her a fright from behind - she screamed like a big horrible cat! We both laughed like clowns with people looking at us. We went walking around looking for our coaches. While we were searching we were talking about how we were feeling about the game. she’s like - ( wait her name is Chance) by the way she’s like I’m nervous cause there huge and all that, and I’m like yeah I’m nervous too. Then finally we found our couches and we quickly ran to them and gave them a big hug I mean a big high five. Chance and I quickly ran to the changing room and quickly got changed. Then finally we were ready, we looked smart, tough and skkkuuuxxxx.
The game started, I was a sub on the sideline. I was swapped in half time and played the rest of the half time I was playing prob . I ‘m just gonna skip that part and go onto the worst part……. I was so saggy!! Saggy, saggy, what I mean by saggy is that i didn’t play well I was scared of what i was doing, all I did was just tackle take the ball and played nervously. But lucky my parents didn’t come to watch the game, they would’ve been judging me after the game. HHHHMMM . Of what I was daydreaming about, it became nothing I didn't even do anything that I was daydreaming about, not even a single thing. OMG. But we won our game, by miles.
So there you go, the worst game that I’ve had,. And of having all that confident feeling in myself
became saggy. But when we played the second and the last game it was better than the first
game. So don't go daydreaming about the big thing and then go to it and you do the opposite
thing. Just have confident and go to your game and don't have a negative attitude
, play hard and most of all win. SO YEAH. (This story should be interesting right .wink, wink.)
Jokes, I hope you had a great time reading my story.

Kia Orana Irene! Wow I can tell by your writing that you are very passionate at doing well in your sports teams. I am the same! Being passionate is such a good thing - it can drive you well past what you are physically capable of. I was so happy that I watched your final game. You definitely played with determination. You have very good skills! I do hope you will follow this through your college years. Who knows - we may see you in a black jersey in the near future. Keep up the good posting. You are doing well!
